I'm an award winning novelist and professional playwright. I find myself drawn to storytelling in all its many wonderful forms and now, years after I was first conventionally published, I'm joyfully embracing the digital revolution. I try to write the kind of books I love to read.
The Curiosity Cabinet, one of three finalists for the Dundee Book Prize, was first published by Polygon and is now available on Kindle. Bird of Passage is a contemporary love story (with echoes of Wuthering Heights) which is also a sensitive exploration of the terrible effects of state sanctioned cruelty. The Amber Heart is an epic tale of love and loss, based on my intriguing Polish family history. You'll find my short stories and plays on Kindle - and a novel called Almonds and Sunshine, with a Canary Island setting, will be published in summer 2012.
When I'm not writing, I spend some time each week dealing in antique and vintage textiles, clothes and other collectables.
