Catherine Lockwood was born in England in the late fifties. She suffered from childhood depression which continued into her adulthood, resulting in a tumultuous, colourful life. She has recently taken up writing and firmly believes that we all have a book inside us screaming to get out.
Her first book is her true-story recounting her battle to overcome an alcohol addiction. It is told with honesty, optimism and humour which makes for an uplifting tale rather than a depressing one.
Cathy's book is published by Ant Press.
Cathy has published a second book - a novel and psychological thriller which tells the story of disturbed teenage lovers who reunite in middle-age with disastrous consequences. She is currently working on another thriller, 'Run, Frankie, Run', and a science fiction novel due to be published in 2015.
Cathy wrote a contributory chapter to Karl Wiggins' anthology 'The Eye of the Storm' and also writes poetry under a pseudonym.
