1.0 out of 5 stars Cath Kidston cupcake kit... 20 Dec 2010
...this item is completely misdescribed - there is NO book included - just some very overpriced but ordinary cup cake cases! I`m not sure why they called this a "kit" when other kits do include a book. Very disappointed - I`ll be returning mine for a refund!

1.0 out of 5 stars another Cath Kidstn rip-off 27 Dec 2010
By lol
Even at the reduced price these are a complete waste of money. I ordered them as a gift for a friend who is a Cath Kidston fan. When they arrived I realised I was paying over 6 pounds for the Cath Kidston print on the box (which somehow looks smaller and flimsier than in the picture). The cases themselves, although nice and colourful, don't look look like they are anything to do with Cath Kidston when out of the box. I have seen prettier cases at a fraction of the price in the supermarket. I'll be returning these as I would be embarrassed to give them as a gift. Not worth more than a couple of pounds.

4.0 out of 5 stars ...for hardcore Cath Kidston fans! 24 Jan 2011
I was given these as a Christmas gift from one of my cupcake-mad girlfriends and was thrilled to be given them, if a little taken aback once I saw how much they cost later on! Here you have some super pretty signature CK colours/prints to jazz up your everyday cakes, though calling them a "Kit" is very misleading. It's simply a box of cases only. I had no misconceptions, but if you were buying from here, you would expect more from a 'kit'.

Looking at the price, had I bought my own, I'm sure I too would be a little disappointed as [for the money] they are no better (but no worse - on a par) in quality than those you'll find in any cookshop or supermarket, but here you are obviously paying for the branding and prints; but if you're a CK fan, then that novalty may well be enough for you! And I do love a pretty print...

I'm normally a purist and usually prefer a plain white or dark brown 'muffin' case for cupcakes which are cheap as chips but always deliver what they promise, but these are undeniably gorgeous to look at for that special afternoon tea party or gathering. Note that they're are also ever-so-slightly smaller than the bog standard "Muffin" ones, and so recipes will make a few more cakes per batch, and I'm sure will take a couple trials before you get a cupcake that doesn't overspill the case - but all in all, if you're CK mad, then you'll like these for novalty value if nothing else!
