I read this after reading Awight Now by Michael Barrymore... i couldnt put this book down and read it beginning to end in a day.. its fascinating to read..even more so after reading Michaels side.. she comes across as decent, hard working and very much in love with Michael. It is very sad she has died. I would recommend this book to anyone remotely intrested in them.. you won't regret it.. i also suggest you read Awight now.. they are both pretty much totally different storys.. The storys you hear in Awight Now arent even mentioned in Catch a Falling Star and Vice versa so its definately worth it.

This is a compelling page turner. Cheryl lived a very interesting life especially when Michael came into her life. She seems like a very decent person who admits her own faults but is intensely loyal. I am glad she found someone to share her life when she split from Michael.

Her bitterness towards Michael comes through the book especially around the accidental death that happened at his house. She reveals that Barrymore told many lies and always ran away from difficult situations in their marriage. I think Michael let Cheryl down badly and it is even sadder that Cheryl has now died from cancer. I am glad she managed to get this book published before her death.

SHE DESERVED BETTER

Well as Robbie and Gary sang in their big hit "Shame"..."There's 3 versions of this story...mine and yours and then the Truth" and my gosh how true it is with the Barrymore's Life...Michael and Cheryl's that is.
He gave his side and she gave hers and 'never the twain shall meet' (as the saying goes!!)
He says he is innocent, she doesnt feel that way.Sadly the lovely Cheryl is no longer with us as she passed with lung cancer in April 2005 @55.

She really helped this man with his career...she finds happiness after Michael with Alex and then sadly contracts cancer and Michael who is now 60 lives on and is still troubled. It seems that she WAS good for him as a wife AND a Manager. He probably realises this NOW but sadly TOO late.
It is a sad but positive book, she never gives up hope when all is lost with her marraige and then she loses her life, sadly for her husband he has lost her his family and his career. It is a sad reflection on how fickle life really is...You can have it all and then lose the lot. Great book kept me gripped I can tell you!! I Recommend it 5*s defo!!
