Format:Audio CD
This is a superb album. Steve Jansen & Richard Barbieri have produced a well rounded, easily accessable piece of electronic music that would please any Japan fan. It's hard to pick a highlight track from the listing as they are all brilliant. I bought the CD based on the 12" single of 'Shining', and instantly fell in love with it. At times, Steve Jansen sounds so much like his brother, you would think this was an early Sylvian album.

came across this album by accident! it is brilliant! there are no bad songs, sure its definitely rooted in the eighties and its two members of japan continue on their course, but the lyrics are transcendent as is the music. better than japan, a must have album for romantics new and old!

If you're one of those Japan fans who find much of the solo offerings, a bit too avante garde, this is worth checking out if you havn't already.
Don't be put off by it now being almost 20 years old, it really doesn't sound it.
As the other reviewers comments, the resemblance of Steve Jansen's voice to 'brother' David Sylvian is absolutely uncanny.
As an end to end album, I think it's the most enjoyable listen of all the spin-offs and incarnations (Rain Tree Crow, Nine Horses etc).
Being only around 39 minutes long it leaves you wanting more, I think after the final track (Pushing The River) most listeners will put it straight back on again.
It's a real gem this one, the big question is, how did so many of us miss it first time 'round ?
