If you're one of those Japan fans who find much of the solo offerings, a bit too avante garde, this is worth checking out if you havn't already.
Don't be put off by it now being almost 20 years old, it really doesn't sound it.
As the other reviewers comments, the resemblance of Steve Jansen's voice to 'brother' David Sylvian is absolutely uncanny.
As an end to end album, I think it's the most enjoyable listen of all the spin-offs and incarnations (Rain Tree Crow, Nine Horses etc).
Being only around 39 minutes long it leaves you wanting more, I think after the final track (Pushing The River) most listeners will put it straight back on again.
It's a real gem this one, the big question is, how did so many of us miss it first time 'round ?
