5.0 out of 5 stars very good toy 13 Aug 2010
    Amazon Verified Purchase
I have three very different cats, and they were all interested in this toy straight away. It was very easy to put together, and it provided several hours of play for all of them.

After the first-day novelty worn off, they still go and play with it often, and it definitely always works if you flick the ball and they are around to see it/hear it. Recommended.

    5.0 out of 5 stars Great product - A cat's must have! 20 July 2011

Bought this on Monday afternoon and received it on Tuesday! Was a doddle to put together and my cat has been playing with this all night! It really is fantastic and definately worth purchasing. My cat is quite large and had no problems putting his big fluffy paws in the gaps to push the ball along, so it's not just for kittens. I don't normally do reviews but I am really impressed with this product, which I think is also safe and very strong!

5.0 out of 5 stars Catit play circuit 11 Oct 2009
Just bought this for our 8 month old kitten, who was very interested as soon as she saw it and now won't leave it alone! Also tried it out on two younger kittens who both went nuts over it. The toy is really well designed, can be assembled in a few different ways. The holes and slots in the track are the perfect size for cats to put their paws in to swipe at the ball, and although there are lots of points where they can touch the ball, the track is designed so it can't get out. The ends of the track are slightly raised so that the ball keeps moving for as long as possible after you (or the cat) set it going. You can really tell that a lot of thought has gone into designing this thing. Also the hilarious picture on the box is reason enough to buy it. Get one!

3.0 out of 5 stars Probably attractive for kittens 2 Nov 2010
By S. Thomas #1 HALL OF FAME TOP 10 REVIEWER
This cat toy can be put together into either a circle or an S-shape (end caps are supplied for the S-shape) and features a ball that runs along a covered track. The cat or kitten is supposed to play by batting the ball through holes cut into the top of the circuit, which are designed to be large enough to provide access to the ball but small enough to stop the ball coming out. We purchased one pack but the toy is designed so that you can buy multiple packs to increase the size of the circuit (but it is probably worth getting just one to start with to test whether it holds any interest for your cat or kitten).

All of our cats had a look at the toy once it had been put together but the youngest and oldest (11 and 3) did not even try to play with it and have just ignored it. The middle cat (9) was interested enough to try batting the ball but appeared to find the holes a little too small for her liking and, after only a brief go, has joined the others by giving it a wide berth.

Whilst our cats were not interested, I suspect kittens would find it of much greater interest, particularly as the access points would be more accessible to smaller paws.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Kitten loves it! 10 July 2012

Great! She loves it and plays with it for hours! You can change the shape so the cat never gets bored of it. When in a circle form she puts one hand in each side and trows the ball from left to right :)

    5.0 out of 5 stars Even I want a go! 19 Nov 2010
    By PoppyS
brought this for my 5 month old kitten who was becoming increasingly interested in ankle bitting....now he hardly leaves the toy alone; highly amusing to watch too....don't think he has realised that he can't get the ball, but bless him for trying! Haven't had a peep out of him all afternoon, even for a biscuit break!
recommend it and also other connectors to increase size and shape.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good value for money 20 July 2012
    Amazon Verified Purchase
I made the mistake of buying a laser pointer at the same time, so kitty totally ignored everything else for a few weeks. Now, however, she has discovered this toy. In fact, her playing with it right now prompted me to write this review, as she bats the ball around in a hopeless attempt to free it and kill it.

She likes to go on it at night, so my advice would be to either leave it downstairs or pack it away at night time if (like me) you live in a flat.

When it is in a circle, she has also discovered that it makes a much more suitable bed than any of the comfy things we have bought her, and can often be found curled up in it when she isn't trying to sit on laptops.

    In short: kitty approves.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not for all cats 29 Sep 2010
My mum bought this for her cat who is now 3 and she would not go near it. She just couldn't seem to get the hang of what she was meant to do with it and seemed almost scared of it. I have just recently acquired two young kittens (8 weeks) and they absolutely love it. Shot straight to it when I let them out of their carry case and knew exactly what to do with it. I can't say whether this is due to them being kittens and my mums cat being older or due to the fact that some cats like it and some don't (and I won't know until my two get older) but what I can say is that if you have kittens then I would recommend it. One of the kittens regularly wanders off on her own and when I find her she is upstairs playing with this all by herself. I am definitely glad I have it.

UPDATE - 9 months on and my two kittens still play with this; although not nearly as much as they used to. I would say that without fail they each use it at least twice a day for a mad 5 minutes of play. And as mentioned above, the female still wanders off to play alone :) I have also found it to be a good garden toy - keeps them entertained and out of trouble. If you have a playful kitten/cat I would definitely recommend this item.

1.0 out of 5 stars My cat wasn't interested
My cat hates this toy, she just looks at it as if to say "what am i meant to do now, the ball's gone round and round". She hasnt used it, and the ball is quite heavy for kittens.
