4.0 out of 5 stars Should be part of your N64 collection 25 Feb 2006
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
This was the first Castlevania game I ever played and I was very impressed. The music is brilliant, the graphics are ok, the gameplay is easy and it has alot of replay value, and it is of course one very dark and forboding game, as should be expected from Castlevania. Better fill you in on why this one should be bought over the original. Firstly, this game contains an extra chapter for the Castlevania timeline, featuring the man-wolf Cornell trying to rescue his sister from being a sacrifice to Dracula's resurrection; this adventure takes place before Reinhardt's and Carrie's. You can unlock these original adventures after completing the unlocked, sub-adventure starring Henry Oldrey. In this adventure, Henry follows the tracks of Reinhardt and Carrie in search of six children locked inside Dracula's domain, trying to rescue them all within seven days before Dracula's castle crumbles. Both Cornell and Henry adopt new methods of attack, with Cornell hurling energy bolts at his enemies, while Henry uses quite a fierce gun. Ok, gotta wrap this up, just to say this is a good game and you will love it, on hard mode it is a challenge and it's quite a long game regardless of who you play through it as. Good Castlevania game, buy it while you can still find it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Game 27 Mar 2001
By A Customer
I had the older version of Castlevania for the original nes and when i heard that it was coming onto the 64 I had to get it. This game has great graphics, with very playable and addictive levels. The only area i feel this game could improve was on the sound. Overall i would buy this game if your have some spare hours you need filling.
