Book Description

11 April 2013 Castle Waiting
Linda Medley's witty fantasy series eases into a relaxed comedy of manners as Lady Jain settles into her new life. Unexpected visitors result in the discovery and exploration of a secret passageway, not to mention an epic bowling tournament. A quest for ladies' underpants, the identity of Pindar's father, the education of Simon, Rackham and Chess arguing about the """"manly arts"""" and an escape-prone goat are just a few of the elements in this delightful volume.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best .......ever ! 31 Aug 2013
By c.person - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
I love Graphic novels and this is one of ...no, the best I've found . So enjoyable . Not to take anything away from Allen Moore or Neil Gaimen ,this strikes a wonderful cord with me. I've heard it described as a feminist fable but my 25 year old son loves it and read it as many times as have I. The classic fairy tales that are referenced here ,never were so funny ,so poignant ,,and yes ,so imaginative . I had both Castle one and two but when Medley fell out with Fantagraphics over publishing "Waiting two " unfinished ( Medley took her name off that tome) I was thrilled to see she has published the full version. It is much better ,with a cliff hanger or two to look forward to. You'll laugh ,you'll cry....I know it's a cliché but in this case it's also a truism
