Product Description

Braden Carmichael never imagined he'd fall as hard and as fast as he did for Jocelyn Butler. He also could not have anticipated how difficult it would be to convince her to give in to love. But now that he has her, he's never letting go. He's got it all planned-the passionate proposal, the dream wedding, the sexy Hawaiian honeymoon-even the perfect family they'll start.

After trying to flee from her painful past, Joss is finally allowing herself to embrace the future. But when things start moving faster than she anticipated, she finds herself panicking over something Braden can't understand. After everything they've been through, Joss is sure that their love can survive even her worst fears. But, this time, she may push Braden too far-and risk losing everything all over again...

4.0 out of 5 stars Show and Sweet-Joss and Braden update 3 Dec. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
CASTLE HILL follows the first storyline of Samantha Young's On Dublin Street novel at a time when Jocelyn (Joss) and Braden's life is beginning to fall into some semblance of order. But life and all it has to offer is about to become complicated as Joss and Braden enter the next phase of their relationship-engagement, marriage and beyond. Castle Hill is part of a series and the information revealed will be lost on anyone who has not read On Dublin Street-the first book in the series of the same name.

Samantha Young pulls the reader into a story about two people who have overcome great obstacles and relationship issues and fears surrounding commitment, betrayal and loss. Castle Hill will follow Joss and Braden from engagement to wedding then on to the honeymoon where everything seemingly falls into place for a couple who have struggled to get where they are today. They both still have issues of jealousy and control, but Joss has yet to overcome her greatest fear and together they will have to face the reality that will be their future. Only this time, a lack of communication and misunderstandings may force the couple to take a hard look at what they want and what they expected from each other- and it looks like they each may want something different.

If you are a fan of Samantha Young's On Dublin Street series, Castle Hill is a must read as it pulls the reader into the emotional turmoil surrounding one of the biggest decisions and directions in Joss and Braden's life-their marriage may not survive if the couple is unable to get past the issues that many couples must face a time or two in their lives.

3.0 out of 5 stars great catch up 9 Dec. 2013
By C
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I do think when it comes to novellas, are they necessary or is it just a way to make more money on a well loved series. So was castle hill a story that was needed to conclude Braden and joss's story? not really, but it was sweet to reconnect with much loved characters. It's amazing how far joss and Braden have come since they first met. Good short read for all on dublin street lovers. Cannot read as a stand alone.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyed but disappointed 5 Dec. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I enjoyed reading more about Joss and Braden but really this novella should have been part of On Dublin Street. It really is a bit much to pay £3 for such a short story that could have been so much more. As a fan of these stories I have already pre ordered the next two books but this novella takes the biscuit!

4.0 out of 5 stars On Dublin Street book 2.5 3 Jan. 2014
By Sarah (Feeling Fictional) TOP 500 REVIEWER VINE VOICE

If, like me, you're a fan of Braden then you won't want to miss Castle Hill. I fell head over heels for Braden in On Dublin Street and as much as I've enjoyed getting to know the other characters in this series he's still my favourite so of course I jumped at the chance of spending more time with him and Joss in this novella. My only complaint was that it was too short and I could have happily carried on reading.

I think that one of the things I loved most about the story is that it was Braden's turn to mess up, as much as his actions annoyed me at one point I think the fact that he makes mistakes just makes him feel even more real than he did before. Besides, after all the times Joss pushed him away in On Dublin Street, I think he was due a freak out of his own! What was also great was seeing how much Joss has grown up and has started to deal with her issues, things that would have sent her running before she is now able to take in her stride and I was pleased with the way she has become more secure in their relationship. They've certainly come a long way as a couple since they first met and their bond is stronger than ever at the end of this novella.

I don't want to say too much about the story so I'll just tell you that there are some fabulously sweet and poignant moments between them, there is also plenty of their trademark banter and of course it wouldn't be Braden and Joss if there wasn't plenty of steam! I love Samantha Young's writing and this has just made me even more eager to read Before Jamaica Lane when it publishes later this month.

5.0 out of 5 stars Back to the best! 16 Feb. 2014
By Lewlin
Format:Kindle Edition
This is a great book and that is because Ms Young has gone back to basics and written a book about Braden and Joss. They are why we fell in love with On Dublin Street. I personally didn't care for Jo or Ellie's's all about the Braden to me!!

The characters stayed true to form, Braden jumping to conclusions and Joss keeping things to herself.

Well done Ms Young on a lovely novella!

5.0 out of 5 stars Short but very sweet 4 Dec. 2013

Samantha young does it again. It was great to catch up again with Braden and Joss and to follow their wedding and honeymoon. Because of a misunderstanding Joss is forced to reconnect with her therapist and face her past losses. There's the usual sparks and hot scenes between the couple. A great novella. I hope we get to find out more how things work out for Braden and joss.
