Product Description

Product Description
Gorgeous Cassie Sumner has experienced more in her 25 years than most people do in a lifetime. The stunning model was one of the stars of the hugely popular TV show WAGS Boutique and was recently voted a??Most Popular Celebrity Babea?? by the News of the World, beating the likes of Angelina Jolie and Kelly Brook to the title. Yet there is a lot more to Cassie than meets the eye and, as her intimate autobiography shows, she has had to deal with her fair share of turmoil, hardship and heartbreak. When she was just 18 years old, every young girla??s dream came true for Cassie when a model scout spotted her. A natural in front of the camera, it wasna??t long before she was causing a stir with her appearances on Page 3. She was soon a familiar face on Londona??s party scene and became increasingly captivated with the decadent lifestyle and all that it brought with it. On the face of, she was living a dream life, partying with Eminem. 50 Cent and Pharrell but, underneath the glitz, she discovered a world where vice, drugs and debauchery were rife. Cassiea??s own fall from cover girl into a life of decadence hit her hard. She became immersed in a disturbing lifestyle where she became hooked on drugs and came into contact with escorts who tried to tempt her into their trade. Without help and guidance from the very industry that made her, Cassiea??s life had quickly spiralled out of control. She found an unlikely saviour in the form of footballer Celestine Babayaro who helped her back into her modelling career and living a fulfilling life once more. This revealing and gripping autobiography leaves no stone of Cassiea??s remarkable life unturned. She does not hold back and describes in detail her distress at being separated from her father when she was a child, her two suicide attempts and her liaisons with numerous high-profile stars including Russell Brand, Emmerdalea??s Ben Freeman and James Hewitt. Packed with colourful celebrity anecdotes, real-life stories of adversity as well as fascinating tales from the world of modelling, this book will enthral you from the word go. It is the amazing true story of how one woman has reached the heights of success, witnessed the darker side of life that it can bring and brought herself back from the edge. Today, Cassie feels compelled to bravely speak the truth.

About the Author
Born in 1982, Cassie Sumner began her childhood on the Spanish island of Menorca. A year later, with Cassie in tow, her mother settled alone on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent. As she grew up Cassie dreamed of becoming a model, but opted for a degree in Law. Her life changed however, when she was scouted in 2000. By 2001 Cassie was a regular on Page Three and was appearing in Playboy, Loaded, FHM and Front magazines. In 2002, Cassieâ s popularity began to spread into Europe as she landed her first feature in Italian Vogue. Cassieâ s success as a top glamour model continued throughout her early twenties but she eventually began to make her mark on screen. After appearing in ITVâ s Poor Little Rich Girls, Cassie was selected to appear on WAGs Boutique. 2006 was a successful year professionally and she has since featured on Celebrity Weakest Link and is currently being lined up for several new TV projects.

2.0 out of 5 stars It's a Dog-eat-Dog World , 26 May 2008
Cassie Sumner grew up with her lovely mum on the lovely Isle of Sheppey in Kent. She always dreamed of being a model but was really, really shy; in fact you can read her primary school report card, handily reproduced, which says Cassie's really, really shy. It took all of Cassie's steely nerve and unbridled ambition to overcome her shyness and reach for the golden grail of becoming a famed and feted topless model.

With her heady Page 3 days and 'Cocaine Nights' (a chapter heading), Cassie sets out after waking from a dream to warn young models (she's 25) in what she calls 'the glamour dog-eat-dog industry' of the dangers of celebrity-bit part-footballer-girlfriend life. The memoir is a modern day morality tale with nothing new to add to this overly explored genre and is enlivened only by ghostwriter Emma Bussey, best known as a radio news presenter and showbiz journalist, whose skilful pacing keeps you turning the pages even when there is nothing to say.

5.0 out of 5 stars enjoyed reading about Cassies' life..., 19 Sep 2008
By L. Thomas "laurie" (Kent) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Maybe im biased but coming from Cassies' home town and being the same age as her i knew i had to read her book!
She's been through a hell of a lot and got out the other side.
I do think the book ended rather too quickly and personally would have liked to know more about what she has been up to since 'WAGS BOUTIQUE'
Maybe in years to come she'll do a follow up...
Well done Cassie!
