Product Description

The Friendly Ghost's origins are revealed in this prequel to 'Casper'. After being thrown off the train to Ghost Central by an annoyed ghostly passenger, Casper (voiced by Jeremy Foley) meets a lonely, 12-year-old ghost fan, Chris Carson (Brendon Ryan Barrett). Being a novice to his ghostly life, Casper is taken to live in Chris' home at Applegate Manor and taught how to haunt, with the aid of 'The Ghostly Trio' - Stretch, Stinkie and Fatso.

I plead with the owners of Saban (who made the three direct-to-video "sequels") - Stop tarnishing the fantastic original with these pathetic re-hashes you insist on churning out. They would stuggle to keep the interest of a two year old. Cheaply made and badly acted, they can't ever hold a candle to the 1995 movie. Those who fell in love with Casper of the big screen are advisted to steer clear, as you will be sorrowly dissapointed, as I was.

What a great movie! All the actors play to their strengths, especially Brendon Barrett and the finished product is a superb movie that all the family will enjoy, not just the little kids but the big ones too!

5.0 out of 5 stars Terrific Family Entertainment! 22 May 2003
Format:VHS Tape
You can't help but like the adorable incarnation of Casper, the Friendly Ghost. This film's got everything you need for a Saturday afternoon family get-together! Big kids (and let's face it, we're ALL big kids at heart, right?!) will love it as much as younger viewers.

It's a laugh-a-minute riot!

1.0 out of 5 stars Dire (why can't I rate it 0 stars?) 25 April 2005
By A Customer
Format:DVD
The 1995 movie is my favourite movie of all time, with great voice-overs and touching performances and a good plot. This was the first Casper flick made by Power Ranger creators Saban, and can't you tell. It's dire. There's no continuty with the first film, many, many character errors, terrible acting, ridiculous plot and the story was awful. Awful. And to make it even worse they came out with two more tripe sequels after this one. Oh woe. Bring back the animated series (based on the '95 movie), that was better than the three shabby sequels put together, and then some!
