Great alarm clock,
By
This review is from: Casio Alarm Clock Tq-140-1Ef (Kitchen & Home)
This is a very reliable, robust, effective, and quiet alarm clock.
The alarm will certainly wake you up and will keep ringing until you push the snooze button down or until it has rung constantly for 35 minutes at which point it will give up (if you can stay in bed for that long!) The battery it comes with is very long-lasting and you won't need to replace it for years. Furthermore, the alarm clock has a easy-to-read design, a glow-in-the-dark face, and is very robust when it comes to dropping it. Excellent product.

Doesn't work,
By thehappyappy (England) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Casio Alarm Clock Tq-140-1Ef (Kitchen & Home)
I bought this alarm clock because my last one stopped working. I loved the bold numbers. At first I was a little disappointed that the numbers didn't glow in the dark, but as nobody had said they did I wasn't that bothered. Anyway I then set the alarm ready to wake me up for work the next day. I woke up 30 minutes after the alarm was supposed to go off, but hadn't and surprise surprise was late for work. I thought that this was possibly just my mistake so tried again. Once again I was late for work. The next day I asked my husband to check the alarm was set okay - guess what it didn't go off again and yes I was late AGAIN. I decided to test it by changing the time during the day and making sure the alarm did go off at the right time. This worked perfectly so I tried it again the next morning. Once again it didn't go off. In the end I could only get it to work if I set the alarm less than an hour before I wanted it to go off. Rubbish if you want it to wake you up.
I sent it back to the company I bought it from and after a week emailed them to ask if they'd received it okay? So far I've not heard anything from them so I don't know what they're going to do about refunding this alarm clock. All in all I'm very unimpressed with this clock as well as the service I've received to. I would have given it a lower rating, but I couldn't do any lower that 1 star.

Compact travel alarm,
This review is from: Casio Alarm Clock Tq-140-1Ef (Kitchen & Home)
As a travel alarm clock the Casio Tq-140-1Ef met all requirements. The alarm is loud enough and is easy to set; no fiddly digital buttons. Alarm cancel is by a single large button on top of the case; no searching the back of the case for a tiny switch. The hands are luminous so even though the numbers are not, the time can be clearly seen in the dark. There is no travel case but so far after three weeks of daily travel it seems to withstand being packed in the suitcase with no problem. Between holidays it is serving as a bedside alarm clock.
