This basic desk model is good value for money. It is has a clear display & easy to use. The case of the calculator is very pale grey with darker grey buttons and a big red "on" button. It has two non-slip feet which stops it moving about. It has a large clear display with the figures shown in black against a pale grey screen. The screen slopes upwards towards you which makes it even easier to see. The calculator works on both solar power and a 1.5v battery (LR54), the battery is included and has an automatic power-off function. The keys are large and very easy to use and because of the size it is not easy to hit the wrong key by accident. The calculator performs the major basic functions: addition (extra big key), subtraction, multiplication and division. & percentage key. It also has a square root key and positive and negative number key. It also incorporates a 4-key memory function. This is a very robust calculator so it can be used in all types of areas. Due to its size it tends not to get lost and sits on a desk or wherever it is needed. It is solid but is not particularly heavy. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a general household or office calculator as it is simple and reliable.

The choice of calculators everywhere seem overwhelming but when you really don't need anything too complicated this is a great buy. It has two non-slip feet on the bottom which stops it moving whilst using it and it has a large clear display (8x2.4cm approx) with the figures shown in black against a pale green/grey screen. The screen slopes upwards towards you which makes it even easier to see when it is flat on a desk.
The calculator works on both solar power and a 1.5v battery (LR54), the battery is included. I have not had to change the battery yet. I think it works on solar power most of the time I am using it. I very rarely remember to turn it off and luckily it has an automatic power-off function.
The keys are really quite large and very easy to use, because of the size it is not easy to hit the wrong key by accident which I have managed many times with smaller keys on the scientific type calculators or the little tiny ones designed to be carried around. The keys also seem to stay amazingly clean, they are very smooth to the touch and just do not seem to attract the dirt from your fingers like computer keys do!

I would recommend it to anyone looking for a handy desk-top calculator.

With clearly marked keys which are well spaced and offer positive, tactile feedback, this calculator features a large clear display and is sensibly priced.
This is a small desktop unit (not a pocket calculator) which is easy to use and offers all the standard features most users will need, so unless you have some specialist needs, this should do the job.
Its not the very cheapest calculator available, but is really good value and I would certainly recommend it (we purchased 3 of these units for our new staff, as all existing staff use the previous model some of which have been in daily use for several years)

I needed a basic calculator for use in the comfort of my armchair, when not otherwise needing to use the computer. It had to have fairly big keys to suit big fingers and small eyes.

A Superb Purchase!
Finally succumbed and purchased an office calculator. The best circa £6.00 I have spent in ages. Doesn`t rely on light and is simple, clear and easy to use! Wonderful.
