Like many I wasn't overly impressed initially. The strap creaked, the analogue hands are very slow to adjust and obscure part of the digital screen at all times. However, I soon learned to love this watch, which is now my everyday watch. First thing I did was change the cheap strap which frankly I thought was awful, and made an annoying creak every time I moved my arm. I opted for a much wider, and chunkier brown italian leather strap, and straight away it looked brilliant. It is quite a deep watch (it sits quite high on your wrist), and so a strap with more depth to it suits it far better in my view.
Once I started wearing it more I realised the benefits of this digital/analogue combo. Essentially you've got attractiveness of an analogue face with the usefulness of a casio digital - so I can still set multiple alarms, switch to an alternative time when abroad, use the timer, and always have the correct date showing (something my Citizen watch at 4 x the price cannot manage).
Change the strap and it's a great watch. I've posted some pics to show what it looks like with a different strap, FYI.
Oh and one more thing, the temperature is useless, unless you wish to know the temperature on your arm at any given moment.
