I have used Casio Exilim for years and when I decded to upgrade I changed brand and was unhappy from day one and I never changed my mind. So I gave the other camera away and bought the EX-ZR700.
As soon as I held the camera in my hand I knew I had made the right decision. The controls are easy, the functions are really great and intuitive. The picture quality is as good as my DSLR.
I run a childrens golf school and we usually video their swing. However the 30 shot sequence mode on the Exilim 700 is unbelievable, we can analyse every movement one frame at a time.
I did not expect too much from a pocket camera but this camera has everything. Fantastic!

(Charlie takes a look)...ex-zr700.
after a week with my new casio I'm very impressed with the "instrument" (yes it's an instrument that you have to learn to play)
you're not going to get much more value for your money than this little guy, if you like art and photographic effects the zr700 is a pleasure to use, there is a ample choice of variations to chose from including a "fantastic" 18x zoom (with anti shake if you require it) others you can chose from are "fish eye" "serpia" and a really interesting one is called "art " are already built in for good snapshots.
for slo-mo movies I found the hs240fps gives a really smooth and steady avi movie and even a 5sec shoot will give you a good long "playback".
the only system I wasn't happy with was the " fiddle" to recharge your battery using the usb-to-comp with the included cable so instead of doing some damage to the cameras small usb connector I purchased a wall plugin charger with a spare battery deal (also from amazon ) so now you obtain a full charge and a spare battery ready for a "change over" with the charger doing all the hard work first.
(example slo-mo) we had heavy rain the other day so I grabbed the 700 and did a hs240 10sec shoot then played it back and to watch it played back in slo-mo was just like watching snow (errr... artistic snow).
the 700 pumps out almost 17meg-pix onto a nice sized screen which is ample until your moved your saved data sd card over to a pc editor.
you often think you've used up all your photographic idea's with the casio then it will "hit you with lots more" (it's that kind of camera)

Really good camera from Japan!
The body is quite weighty but feels very robust (including the pop-up flash).
The on screen menu is easy very is to navigate. It can also shoot RAW and Jpeg's and it can also shoot in full manual, aperture or shutter priority mode as well as the wide range of pre-set shooting modes. The anti-shake function is outstanding as is the zoom capability.
it can also shoot HDR pics, high-speed burst pics and much much more.
Video shoots in FHD and as a high-speed camera it can shoot videos in incredible slow motion! The battery lasts along time (around 500 shots) on a single charge. It doesn't have gps or wifi, but in my experience, they just seem to be crappy gimmick to make the device look more attractive to consumers and those features usually always deplete the battery much faster as well

I bought and returned the NIkon s9500 to get this camera and was the best decision I could of made. Excellent camera!

Lovely little camera with a lot of the features of my DSL camera. My third Casio camera, with much better zoom and great photos. To change language to English downloaded manual from Casio website and followed instructions. Seller very helpful when parcel force didn't leave the import duty notice and had to re-ship item.
