The EX-Z2300, Technology can be elegant too
The EXILIM Zoom EX-Z2300 proves that high-performance technology can still be stylish. With an image resolution of 14.1 megapixels and a 26-mm wide-angle lens, the camera offers the perfect conditions for outstanding photos and impresses with its high-quality design. The EX-Z2300 includes innovative features such as the Single Frame SR zoom, the EXILIM Engine 5.0 and the advanced Premium Auto mode, which makes the automatic detection and optimisation of motif situations and scenes even easier.
The combination of the 26 mm wide-angle* design and 5x optical zoom makes the EX-Z2300 the perfect companion for every occasion - you have plenty of scope to take photos, be it of your loved ones, beautiful sights or romantic sunsets. Whether you're in a small room, a car or on a ferris wheel - the 26 mm focal distance enables you to capture a larger area, allowing you to snap more of your friends for posterity in a close-up group photo, and much more.
*equivalent to 35 mm film
The EX-Z2300's 5x optical zoom alone allows you to take highly detailed images, but with the Single Frame SR Zoom, the zoom range increases by 1.5. This means the 5x optical zoom is converted to a 7.5x digital zoom with optical zoom quality. So you won't miss out on a single detail!
The HD video recording feature on the EXILIM EX-Z2300 allows you to shoot high-resolution and detailed videos with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels* — simply press the Movie button and start recording. What's more, the 16:9 wide-screen format gives your video clips an expressive, professionally filmed character.
* Max. recording length 29 minutes/video
The Art Effect function allows you to return to a photo you have previously saved, e.g. a landscape or a portrait, and transform it into a spellbinding oil paining, water colour or wax crayon drawing. Once you have taken the photo, all you have to do is chose the style that takes your fancy – and hey presto, a copy* of the selected photo is saved in your camera as a mini piece of art.
Whether it is a portrait, landscape or night shot that you want to take, or if the lighting conditions and backlighting are challenging, the EXILIM EX-Z2300 allows you to focus your full attention on your subject. And it is the Premium Auto mode that makes this possible. In this mode, the camera automatically recognises typical subject situations and adjusts the settings accordingly. Depending on the exposure conditions, BEST SHOT modes such as Auto BEST SHOT, Night shot without tripod, Make-up mode, Landscape mode or Intelligent AF are activated. This ensures that movements, shaking and even people's faces are detected automatically, and then perfectly focused and exposed. The camera can also automatically correct the brightness in underexposed areas of the image — ideal for subjects featuring extreme contrasts or backlighting. You don't need to worry which BEST SHOT mode is best for the situation; you can just focus your full attention on your subject and take some impressive photos. The EXILIM Zoom EX-Z2300 is equipped with a separate Premium Auto mode button for quick activation and deactivation of the function.
With the extended Dynamic Photo function, you can continue to cut out subjects from an image series, position them in front of a different background, change the size and combine them with fun animations. In addition, you now have even more options: Add a single stationary subject or one or more moving subjects into your films, which can be up to 20 seconds long! A special highlight: Not only can you provide animation for subjects that you add to your film, you can also insert your own handwritten texts. What are you waiting for? Get creative, bring your photos to life and surprise your friends with a personalised "Dynamic Photo" greeting!
It is virtually impossible to hold a camera absolutely still. Even the slightest movement can cause blurring and lack of clarity in the photo. The mechanical image stabilisation captures these movements and balances them out mechanically with the help of CCD shift technology, reducing the likelihood of blurred photos to a minimum.
