I have had my Casio EX Z1080 for nearly two years, and it replaced two Olympus ones. Like the other reviewers here, I'm not a photographer, but since I have had grandchildren, I have found great pleasure in taking 'snapshots' to capture a happy moment for the family memory bank.

This camera takes sharp, vivid photos. The high megapixils make it possible to print even a heavily cropped picture. Children run, jump and slide - and the Casio captures the scene perfectly, without blurring. It does short YouTube videos very well too. The Best Shot options include splashing water shots, flowing water shots, greenery shots, Passport photos, text documents, animals, children, and backlight among other options. My photos have been praised for clarity and capturing a moment beautifully, but that is due to the camera rather than my efforts. The quality difference from my previous cameras is marked.

It has started playing up now, having been dropped a lot (I have a neurological illness that makes me clumsy). The picture quality is still fine but on some Best Shots all I get is a blank screen. It is such a great little camera that I intend to buy another exactly the same to replace it. It doesn't seem fair that something so idiot proof should be so good. ;)
