I'm a fan of the Casio Edifice range. The watches are generally versatile, innovative and very well made. I bought this basically because I wanted a watch with a digital compass.
In addition, it's got 5 alarms (including a 'snooze' alarm), hourly time signal, world time zones, stopwatch, thermometer (not especially useful because it picks up more of your 'body' temperature than 'ambient'... but it can be user-calibrated) and is water resistant to a depth of 100m (good enough to go splashing around in the rain but I wouldn't go crazy). The compass is very accurate, quite resistant to interference and has a facility to store your current 'bearing' (the LCD display will then indicate if you veer off course). While the hour and minute hands are luminous, it also has excellent 'white LED' dial illumination which can be set to come on manually for 1 second, 3 seconds or automatically when you raise your wrist to view.
Downsides? The strap is of the 'durable-but-hard-feeling' rubber type so can sometimes be difficult to tuck the excess into the strap retainer (some might even find it uncomfortable to wear because it is so rigid). And the manual could be a little clearer... but there are excellent online videos on Casio's website which explain everything brilliantly.
All in all, I like it and wear it almost daily. Recommended.
