5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous! 21 April 2012
Verified Purchase
It's worth the money for the classic electric piano sound alone which is reminiscent of my old Fender Rhodes with the added benefit of not weighing the same as an old wardrobe!Indeed, you can reproduce most of Stevie Wonders 70's output here with ease (and who wouldn't want to at least try that?).There are hundreds of sounds here of every description but for an old f**t like me,just playing along with a pre-set rhythm is fun enogth. If you are one of those young people(or an oldie who can be bothered)there is a sequencer, arpeggiator and heaven knows what else. The built in speakers are just fine for home/practise use and if you use batteries you have the ultimate portable music machine as it weighs very little.I could go on but I won't,suffice to say whether you are a beginner or have been playing for 40 years (err..thats me)there is something for you within this terrific machine.I never thought I would wax lyrical about a Casio but they have come on in leaps and bounds..this is the proof!

5.0 out of 5 stars for the money, you won't get any better 11 Oct 2013
I am a pro keyboardist and guitarist and have had many expensive keyboard models. I bought this casio 'arranger keyboard' as a backup to my more expensive keyboard. I hate computers and prefer real instruments, which the casio clearly is. It exceeded all my expectations. First of all, I was surprised at the fact that the keys themselves are of very high quality, and feel strikingly similar to my old Korg Triton, which was a keyboard costing almost 10 times as much, even over 10 years ago.

You cannot get a better keyboard for less than 240. This is because it's the only keyboard to have professional features such as editable sequencer, editable tones, drawbars, and the excellent semi-weighted keys.

The piano sound is excellent, as are the electric piano sounds.

I was also surprised to see that it has an editable chord track. This keyboard has a BETTER sequencer than the one you'll find on the flagship Yamaha arrangers, costing at least 4 times more. The casio even has an arpeggiator, something you don't find at all on an arranger keyboard, you'll only find them on synth keyboards. A new model is out, but really it's just very marginally better. Get this model at the lowered price as it has dropped from 300

All in all, a clear winner.
