I have used a couple of similar Casio alarm clocks over the years and I bought this one to replace one that had expired after about ten years service. Quite small at around a couple of inches square it is easy to slip into an overnight bag to take travelling. It has a quiet tick so will not disturb a light sleeper too much, and an alarm that is annoying enough to wake you up ok!
Costing about as much today as my previous one did back in 1999 it represents pretty good value for money. Although described as white mine is actually black as illustrated - that didn't bother me but contact the vendor first if you really do want a white one! On my 15" laptop the illustration is about actual size.
The hands on my clock are luminous, even though another reviewer says his are not. Luminous features need to be exposed to reasonable amounts of light for a period of time for them to work properly, and even then they will only glow for a limited period - this clock is no exception! At less than six quid this has got to be a five star product for value, and if you are looking for a small analogue travel alarm clock then this is it.

This unit is very small, ideal for traveling but probably not suitable as a standard bedside alarm clock. It seems to be made entirely of plastic, meaning it is lightweight but the mechanics are not precise. For my unit, this imprecision means that the alarm doesn't go off at the time the alarm hand is pointing to, but rather 1/2 hour earlier. This is was a little annoying the first few times I was experimenting with it, but now I know if I want to be woken at 7am then I should set the alarm for 7:35am.
Note: the numbers and hands are luminescent, not illuminated - they don't light up, they simply glow for a while after the lights are turned out.

Although good size for traveling and Good price, Noisy, not white (as stated); Hands and digits are hardly luminous.Very disappointing. Had to return it.

Not luminescent
It doesn't say it shines in the dark anywhere, but the only reason why the numbers and hands are that colour is so that it _looks_ like it is. But it's not. Read more

It works, it's cheap, it's small, it's black, it has an alarm. Got to love it really.
