This is a great slim line watch , it looks great on any man and is very comfortable to wear. I bought this watch about 2 months ago and i'm very pleased with it. You hardly know that you are wearing it , it's very comfortable for me . This watch is also keeps very accurate time with a normal hand dial and also 2 different time displays for if you go abroad. Very handy indeed if you want to see 3 different time zones . It also comes with a great stopwatch which goes to the 100th of a second. You also have the date on it. All in all i'm very pleased with it , it's a good watch at a good price , excellent buy , i recomend it to anyone !!

I bought this watch for my father to replace one that I accidentally hard dropped on concrete and broke, which was the exact same type and model. That watch was around 20 years old.

The fact that they are still making the same model after so many years says something to its high quality and popularity.

Though it doesn't have too many modern features I still give a high rating for its enduring design which still stands the test of time (no pun intended).

Ok Ok Ok yes it has its drawbacks and its a bit "old hat" but you have to give this watch a Five star for two simple reasons. Number one is that it was first designed and manufactured in the mid seventies. Thats over 35 years ago and not long after the digital watch was invented. This watch for the time was a major leap forward in watch design. So you can forgive it for pulling a couple of hairs, its a steel bracelet for under 30 quid. Second and most importantly it looks Awesome. This is an iconic design from an iconic era. Whether or not you have a large wrist or small the watch will stand out as a brilliant masterpiece. If you DO like this watch search for 'casio combi' There are a few different metal and face types.

I bought an analogue/digital Casio watch way back in the 1970's, which I have liked it so much that I have never sought to replace it. After all these years, the old watch is still working, but recently, the winder knob came off and was lost. On first sight, this Casio Classic watch appeared to be identical in appearance and function to that 1970's watch, which featured digital and analogue timekeeping, plus date, alarm and stop-watch functions.

When I look closely, I find that the case, bracelet and controls have all been carefully re-tooled to create a watch that is almost the same, but a few grams lighter. It was working when I opened the box and even the date was correct, but the digital time needed re-setting, a straightforward and familiar two-button select and set operation.

The only functional differences are that it doesn't have a sweep second hand like the original, and neither does it have a proper "winder" button. Instead, to set analogue time, you have to press the shielded button on the right, well in. That is very awkward and at first it did not seem to do anything at all.

I was ready to pack it up to return it as faulty, when I pressed and held the button in with the aid of a screwdriver blade. Eventually, the fingers started moving round and I could re-set the time - a slow and tedious wait with the button pressed in. Unlike the old winder, the setting only goes forward and I overshot by a minute and had to go round all 24 hours again. I assume that the change is to keep costs down, as mechanical functions are more expensive to produce than digital versions these days.

I set it to match a radio controlled clock 7 days ago and checked the time today.

There are three variants of this casio analogue/digital display watch. Two are silver (this one has a white face dial, the other is black) and the other is an all gold colour version.

All three are widely available and have been unchanged in appearance for at least 15 years, during which time I've bought and worn all of them on a regular basis, and none have failed me. Timekeeping is accurate to 1minute/year, battery life 3years minimum.

The analogue display is clear and the digital stopwatch (small LCD display at the bottom) is extremely useful.

This silver variety has a stainless steel strap and chrome-plated resin case with white coloured face dial. It's an attractive and robust everyday workhorse of a watch which I've used in some tough working environments resulting in some heavy knocks, all of which have been absorbed without too much noticeable damage to the face or strap.

Of the two silver versions I would say this one is more attractive for its more subtle white face, but it's personal choice of course.

Feels light and a little cheap due to the plastic screen but for the price it is good and does everything that's needed. Its a shame that you have to manually ensure the digital time matches the face time and that they are not automatically tied together. Other than that can't go wrong.

Verified Purchase
This is the 3rd time that I've had this model of Casio watch in 20 years. I use them for work and they're durable and light. Easy to adjust the wrist strap and good battery life.
