Product Description

Product Description

Cases for PACES provides a concise study aid to Part II of the MRCP examination; the Practical Assessment of Clinical Examination Skills or PACES. The new edition of this very popular study guide has been completely updated, and now includes scenarios for Station 5, introduced in October 2009.

Featuring a ‘case study’ format that matches the style of the exam, it includes all the essential information – perfect for on–the–ward revision and study. Written by authors who remember their own PACES examination, their experience in learning and teaching PACES is condensed to provide exactly what you need to know to pass.

With its informal style, Cases for PACES is also ideal for self–directed learning in groups, and will help you hone your clinical skills and boost your confidence in the run–up to the examination.

Good reminder/summary 13 Oct 2011
By ann
Format:Paperback
This book is good for a short summary/reminder of common cases, especially towards the end of revision or on your commute as its a perfect handbag size! You will need to use other texts in conjunction as it is brief and relies on you already knowing the rationale behind the signs/condition and investigations and management. It does what it says on the tin - concise revision aid but not generally the most helpful PACES text overall.

very good but... 23 Feb 2011
Format:Paperback
this is a very good book for quick review but the chapter on neurology is very disappointing. only a few cases mentioned and that's certainly not enough for exam or learning purposes.

A useful aid to PACES 27 Dec 2010
By salman
Format:Paperback
A short and comprehensive book which is extremely useful to recall and update the important information for the exam. Though deficient in few areas it provides an excellant insight to the exam. The best part is that it doesnt consume a lot of time and one can go over it again and again in a very short period. Just add some foot notes of your own and go ahead.
