The book, came on time and was in better condition than I had imagined. A few high lighting here and there. But altogether the text book was in very managible condition.

I dont regret the purcahse at all.

After having been lucky enough to have been taught by Dr Hodges herself, her book is a true guide to Marine Insurance Law. The book, which contains up to date and important cases (up to 2004), follows a well laid out chapter by chapter guide to Marine Insurance Law at an LLB & LLM level. Each chapter outlines the relevant statute and case law which acts as authority to the ideas behind the various Marine Insurance practices.

The book also contains various The Marine Insurance Act 1906, The Hull Clauses, and other clauses. Also the book contains some marine insurance standard form to familiarise yourself with the practical side of marine insurance law.

The commentary by Dr Hodges is truly a pleasure to read as it is well laid out and unlike many texts available, while it is very simple to follow. I would recommend this book to anybody looking to venture into Marine Insurance Law. As for those studying it, its a one stop shop to all you need.
