I was looking forward to using this tablet sleeve but found it fits awkward on my iPad 1st generation. The iPad doesn't sit flush inside the sleeve, one side sits slightly above the lip of the molded edge, making it look like the sleeve is just shy of being the right width. The description on the Amazon product page doesn't specify which iPads it will fit leaving it to interpretation that it will fit all iPads and the product wrappings this sleeve came in says 'For iPad 1-4 Gen' and '10" Tablets'.
I think, even though this sleeve fits my first gen iPad (9.56×7.47×0.52 in) awkwardly, it would fit the 2nd (9.5×7.31×0.34 in), 3rd and 4th gen iPad (9.5×7.31×0.37 in) much better since they are slightly smaller in length, width and depth since it's dimensions are 10.2x7.4x0.4 in.
The saving grace for me on this sleeve is that it feels sturdy enough to handle some abuse and rough handling, and works very well as a stand, whether standing it long side or vertically. Even though the iPad sits at an off angle, the four corner elastic straps do hold the iPad in and in-place, while being used as a stand. I also like the viewing the angle in either standing modes, which is about 45 degrees or 75 degrees when set long side and about 75 degrees vertically.
The case itself adds a slightly noticeable weight to the iPad when it's in the sleeve.
The molded edges don't allow for headphones or the charging cord to be easily used while in the sleeve since there isn't any opening or slots to allow use of these. I have to bend the edge down then plug in the headphone plug or charging cord, which puts pressure at an angle on these items. This issue will be present not matter what type of tablet this sleeve is used for.
In order to use the volume buttons or the silent/rotation lock switch, I have to remove the elastic strap closest to it and lift slightly the iPad out of the sleeve. This may not be an issue for devices that are smaller than the iPad 1st gen.
