I was looking for a case to give my iPhone 4s the best chance of surviving a 24 month contract intact and this looked like a robust option without looking too ugly.
Having had it for just a couple of days now I am very impressed by the fit and the feel.
It adds a surprising amount of thickness to the device but the raised lip around the front gives me some confidence that the phone being dropped face down wouldn't always be the end of the world.
It is still a nice thing to hold in your hand and the button access is good.
The only downside I have found is that the thickness of the case around the synch port means it won't fit into all docks, I can live with this but as the case is quite difficult to remove some people may find this frustrating.

I bought this case largely on the basis of the positive feedback, which I read on my phone. (Yes, only myself to blame!)
Something of a mistake. The majority of the reviewers giving this item 5 stars have written no other review. Normally I would check and exclude such reviews from consideration.
On to the item itself. It fits the phone well - it's in two parts, which creates a sort of lip around the screen of the phone, and protects the rest of the phone including the buttons - but it isn't aluminium. The back of the case has a piece of aluminium stuck to it, but that's as far as it goes. The case is actually plastic, so is pricey for what you actually get. I have had no difficulty synching by Apple lead or by sticking it into a Logic3 radio.
So fine as a plastic case, but over-priced. If the addition of an aluminium backplate is important to you - as well as the cosmetic effect, it adds rigidity to the case, though I'm not sure how much protection - then this might be the right case for you. I'm keeping it on (the other case I bought is on the shelf - there is a review of it) unless I see something better.

I bought this case as an alternative to the flip case I previously used. I wasn't expecting to get it for a few days based on the time estimates when I ordered it so I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived within 48 hours.
The case is hard plastic in two parts that click together when it is fitted, with an aluminium back piece. It looks good complete with the apple logo and fits tightly. The cut out sections for the charger, camera etc. are well lined up with the apertures on the iphone. I'm pleased with it and how it looks and feels. It wasn't easy to remove though as others have noted. However, its possible with some perseverance and on balance I would rather have the close fit than a loose cover.
Time will tell how sturdy it is but its meant to take the knocks and scratches so I'm not bothered about that if its doing the job it was bought to do - better to pay a few quid for a new cover than have a scratched/broken phone.

flaw
Great looking case but fundamental flaw in that the case doesnt come up over the screen. if it falls on the screen it will likely crack.
