It was the bleak month of February and HArvey Swick was bored. Then Rictus paid a visit. He offers Harvey the chance to escape to a secret holiday house of every child’s dreams and away from life as he knew it.
When he arrives at the Holiday House, a great feast awaits him. He could eat anything he wanted at any time and every day he spent there, the less he wanted to go home. Also staying at the house are Wendell the joker who loves the house and its magic and Lulu, who is very quiet and keeps herself to herself.
All is well until Harvey decides to go home. The happiness disappears and the house shows its evil side. Lulu changes and Harvey has to convince Wendell that his paradise is evil and the creator, Mr Hood must be destroyed.
'The Thief of Always' is a very enjoyable book with good characters and an exciting story line. I would recommend this book to anyone.
