With their new single, Hellions On Parade, CKY find a triumphant return to form.

The opener to their upcoming album Carver City kicks off with the relentless riff-rock that fans have long known and loved, but there's something new about it.. something different. A new level of production and layering from guitarist/producer Chad Ginsburg finds its way onto the song, warranting more than a single listen to fully digest the sumptuous textures and overdubs that thread through the song as a whole.

Hellions On Parade is at once anthemic and immediate, classic and fresh. Check out the hype around this band; it's worth every second.

Carver City is released worldwide in May on Roadrunner Records.

This is excellent. Really, excellent.

I brought this album before i went to see them live, so that I would know their new songs. I emagined listening to it a few times, now and then. But as you can tell that wasn't the case.

The richness of each track is far more atmospheric and detailed than i would expect. You've got a great variety of emotions from the album, first four tracks are absolute gold.

Maybe you know of CKY, know some of their tracks... a track?... like it? Buy it. Its a commonly used phrase in amazon reviews but this cd deserves it. I was staggered by how great it was. TBH, this isn't what i thought the album would sound like, having heard only their first album. Bt this sound is just brilliant. This should be on radio, this should be in the top 10 album chart. You will be brilliantly suprised. This album will make CKY alot of new fans, and alot of new BIG fans, me being one.

Bravo Cky! You made a gem.

CKY have truly evolved with Carver City.

Hellions on Parade - A very strong opening track with a brilliant opening riff. I can really picture the mosh pits at a CKY gig when I listen to this. It experiments with vocal harmony, which has a powerful effect on the song. It really sets the standards high for the rest of the album.

...And She Never Returned - Like many songs on this album, there's so much going on in it you could listen to it 100 times and find something new every time. I didn't enjoy this song as much as the first but it's still a strong track

Rats in the Infirmary - One of the best. Great chorus and an equally great message in the lyrics.

Imaginary Threats - In my opinion, the weak point of the album. By the time this song ended I was becoming worried that there would be more like it. A well structured song, but I can't see myself headbanging and miming the lyrics to it any time soon.

The Boardwalk Body - Awesome. The opening riff is pure CKY, and it spirals upwards to new heights as the song goes on.

Plagued By Images - Another less memorable track, but it still has an interesting riff and structure that left me feeling disorientated.

Karmaworks - Not so much to say about this one. Nice opening riff, good structure, strong lyrics, and a class guitar solo.

Woe is Me - Slow at first and another I can picture a CKY gig to when listening to it. Chugging riff towards the middle, and fantastic structure both musically and lyrically.

A#1 Roller Rager - A much lighter song, easy to sing along with and memorable. It's a much simpler song than a lot of others, as less is going on at one time.

Old Carver's Bones - Mostly instrumental...but not quite.

It's early April and I have just heard CKY's long awaited Roadrunner Records debut, fourth studio album, `Carver City' for the first time. I'm going to try to give you a flavour of the album, and hopefully get you all excited, without spoiling anything that you don't already know about.

Hellions on Parade! There is something special about CKY album openers and this little ditty follows suit perfectly. It's a chugging brooding number for the most part which bursts into a powerful CKY riff in the middle and end of the song.

But more importantly, it sets up the tone of the record and gives the listener a taste of the direction the band have gone in with `Carver City'.

So what do we have in store? Schizophrenic mixing of Deron's vocals, ripping lead work from Chad which tips its hat to `Shock And Terror', and moogs galore.

In fact the production of this record is perhaps one of its most noteworthy attributes. I've heard a lot of music, but I haven't really ever heard anything that sounds like this. Despite the past albums having unique production styles, `Carver City' trumps all three. The best way I can explain it is that it sounds like it was produced in a time that never happened; past or future. But it isn't just the production where Chad's hard work shines through. His lead guitar work, much like his live style of playing, is all over this record. It took a few listens for me to realise that most songs on the record actually have a solo of some sort, since there was so much going on.

Jess' beats are strong and perfectly suit whatever vibe each song is going for. He does get the opportunity to show off in a few places on the album, but it doesn't stand out too much from the rest of the music.
