Book Description

27 Mar 2003
Grab a pencil and some paper and get ready to draw some funny cartoons! You don't have to be a great artist to be a good cartoonist. Because cartoons are based in humour not art, the secret to their success is to think funny. In this handy guide, you'll find detailed instructions for creating cartoon people & animals. See how to capture different moods and expressions, experiment with perspective and position, give your characters the illusion of motion, and see how to use caption bubbles. With a little practice you'll be drawing people, birds, reptiles, farm and jungle animals, insects, sea creatures, & more. Most importantly, you'll have fun drawing cartoons that make people laugh. * Step-by-step illustrated guide to a form of artistic expression popular with all children and teenagers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this book 30 July 2007
By CCGal - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
My art students (K-8th) love this book. If they have free time left over, they are allowed to pick a book out of the art rack and use it. This book is the number one desire of my kids in class. They make drawing cartoons so easy with the stp-by-step instructions, it's perfect.

5.0 out of 5 stars Be a Kid, Be an Artist! 28 Oct 2007
By Michelle A. Cope - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This is a wonderful resource for both kids and adults in my opinion. Very easy to follow techniques and it's not clogged up with needless text. A wonderful gift for the artist in yourself, or for someone you love!

4.0 out of 5 stars About as good a first lesson as you'll find. 15 Feb 2013
By Mark T - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This one would be perfect for anyone who wishes they could draw. Step-by-step it gets you started, of course having some talent makes a lot of difference but even for the talent-less many this will let you make some progress right from the beginning. An ideal starter book for any age.
