I purchased this for my son (he is 3 & like many other children, loves the film "Cars" in which Mater is first seen).
We sat down & watched it together last Sunday (husband, son & I), & we all enjoyed it to varying degrees. There are several jokes in there which currently go over my son's head, but there are also lots of visual treats which should create lots of laughter for all concerned. My son's favourite part was the race in Japan, he squealed with laughter throughout this toon.
There are some nice elements to this (e.g. the two groupies that follow Mater around in each episode), & Lightning's lack of remembrance about the adventures (or is it all in Mater's dreams / imagination - you decide!). It's the kind of entertainment you can watch several times & find small new things in it each time.
It isn't very long, but I don't really like him sitting down & watching a great deal of TV at his age anyway, so it's a good treat-sized DVD.

Fantastic product. Fantastic price. Such a cute DVD. Son fell in love with it. Funny stories. Lovely gift for any little boys.

Not awesome but good fun
These short films are enjoyable but very repetitive - we struggled to watch all of them at a sitting, given that the formula is identical throughout. Read more

Great for any Cars/Mater fans.
My 7 and 3 year old sons love this DVD, they would play it 5 times a day if I allowed it!!

Maters Tall tales
I brought this for my grandson and he will watch all the Tales two or three times he loves them.He also loves watching Cars 1 & 2 all good family viewing from Disney Pixar.

Great DVD
