A superior Carry On film quite possibly the best apart from 'Carry On Regardless'.
Superb comic timing, pace, direction and script make this a splendid and side-splitting film to watch!
Many many familiar faces combine to make this film a must see.
Rosalind Knight as one of the school governors asks Joan Sims (PE Teacher)"I have one more question; do you favour the Swedish method?"...
The children do their utmost not to lose thier beloved Headmaster to another appointment, and, absolute mayhem ensues.
Truly a must for good all round family entertainment!

I don't think I've ever seen a film so brilliant. It is most enjoyable throughout.
Principally it's a staff suffering from a tirade of mayhem from the students at the same time an inspector and child psychologist are visiting the school. As expected hilarity ensues.
But it's crowning glory is the last few minutes, a sudden revelation, and it just fantastically crowns a brilliant film!

Savour this baby. Afterwards it all went horribly wrong (usually) with the arrival of Mr James, Miss Windsor .
It is a shame Will Hay was not still around to star though.

God bless the Carry on team. Completely unpretentious British seaside postcard humour at it's finest. how refreshing in today's world.
