A sensible alternative to disposable breast pads especially when you realise that on average women will use approximately 3000 disposable breast pads, not only is this a huge financial cost but also a real burden on our environment.
The soft touch cotton washable breast pads have a high absorbency and allow for great air circulation. Unlike some disposable pads the hygienic natural fibre of the Carriwell breast pads will not disintegrate or stick to your skin. The breathable leak proof layer traps and draws moisture away from the skin for maximum confidence, as each pad moulds perfectly to your individual breast shape and size.

I hated the disposable breast pads as they kept turning over and the sticky side would stick to my sore nipples. These cotton ones sometimes do turn over as well but they don't hurt my nipples. They are absorbent and wash well.
These are really very basic breast pads - flat circles that are black on the outside and cream on the inside (and annoyingly the cream section seems fractionally larger so they curve slightly outwards). If you've got very tender nipples then they aren't quite as soft as you might expect and they will eventually leak through to your bra. However, the good thing about them is that because they are quite thick they don't scrunch up as easily when you unclip your bra to feed so are relatively easy to get back into position. I tumble dry mine (against the instructions)and they've retained their shape.
