This toy racing set is 1 day old and broken . it was bought as a replacement for a (seemingly) inferior Chad Valley set, However in hindsight the Chad Valley set was infact more durable and robust. the construction of this Carrera Go track is tedious and time consuming, due to the most part to the tiny fiddly little clips that hold EVERY section together on each side - seriously there must be approx 40-60 clips and they must be used or the track comes apart, however my main complaint is that one of the cars electronics failed after only 40-50 mins usage (not constant but on/off usage). Honestly it is frustrating to shell out this amount of cash in the current climate only to ultimately dissapoint your kids and leave them sad and upset, my advise would be to start off with a Scalextric (not micro but real full size cars as they are better built)- they are about the same price (£40-£50) for a starter set (such as Scalextric Speed Stars) and will last for a reasonable period of time - as for me i'm off up to Argos to throw this piece of tat through their window.
