i was given this book as a child in the 70's by my grandmother, and the book became a special part of our family christmas. The arrangements of these traditional carols are really lovely (approx grade3-5), my favourites being 'away in a manger', the 'sussex carol' and 'infant holy'. The book contains all the usuals plus quite a number that you dont often find elsewhere, such as 'the crown of roses', I wonder as I wander'and 'gloucester wassail'.
I was extremely fortunate to find this book as it can be difficult to get hold of, and can be very expensive. If you find one, buy it. I am a piano teacher, and must own at least 30 carol and christmas song books. This is the best.
