Carol and Edna is a work based on the lives of two women who died in 2005 at the ages of 75 and 92, respectively. Carol and Edna occupied the same residence for 45 years in a Catholic, blue-collar neighborhood near downtown Oklahoma City. To use a tried-and-true country descriptor, Carol and Edna were a couple of pistols and, to cap it off, the women’s families and long-time neighbors and friends were of similar ilk. However, Carol and Edna lived with a secret that markedly impacted their lives.
