I started doing the exercises three years ago. They have completely saved my face from the going "south syndrome". My jaw had started sagging and my mouth had started to turn down. Three years later I have a defined jawline and my mouth has turned the right way again. My lips are full again and I can pass for much younger. I have to say I looked at other face exercise books when I started with this one. However, this book is the best one.

While most of the reviews are positively glowing (and rightly so) there are some naysayers here. Granted, a few don't understand the instructions. I understood them fine, but it seems not everyone is a natural 'visualizer', and are put off by the descriptions. (Hint - it's like when the trainer at the gym tells you to concentrate on your biceps contracting all the way when you're doing curls, the mental part pushes the physical to make it that much more effective, which is where things really count). And, the poor woman who has an undiagnosed illness and says the exercises have stretched her skin - they simply cannot stretch the skin. I have had to ease up on the cheek exercises because I wind up with over-pronounced cheeks that change my face a bit (so I only do it once a day, not twice. It's that effective). Unfortunately, her illness is what is causing her skin to lose elasticity and age (likely something causing inflammation), so it's a shame that the thing that can help her is in the trash bin.
I have been doing these exercises since the day I bought the book seven years ago. At age 30, I was already seeing my mother's jowels on my own jaw, and didn't relish the idea of looking more and more like a bulldog as I got older. Within a week they were diminished significantly, and at age 37, I don't even have jowel 'buds'. I can't imagine what I'd look like had I not stumbled upon this book. And I only do the routine once a day, not twice, so I have room to step it up when I'm in my 40s. The only place I have fine lines is under my eyes, but I don't have crowsfeet or laugh lines, and my nasal-labial folds just simply never deepened, they barely exist. My dreadfully thin lips actually have a raised lipline now, and my eyebrows are high and firm. People mistake me for being in my mid 20s on a regular basis, and I don't mind that at all!
I can see why some may think these reviews are fake, we just don't have 'miracle' fixes these days. These exercises are still a well-kept secret as the expensive creams are what's all the rage, but unfortunately they just don't do anything other than give you soft skin or temporarily firm. And people need to be willing to do a bit of work, nothing that's real is completely effortless. For the lady who thought it took too much time (10 minutes max a day? I do it in five and the results are still amazing) and gave the book to a charity shop, there is a stranger out there with far better skin than yours, and I bet she thanks you very much! And is £10,000 to get your face cut apart, suctioned, pulled and stapled really a better option? Or botox jabs at £300 a pop, every 6 months until your face becomes contorted with hard spots all over?
I came here today to get the link for this book to send to a new friend who nearly fell off her chair when she found out how old I am. She's 30, the same age as when I started, so she'll be able to enjoy decades of causing people to fall off their chairs.

I have been using Facercise for a few weeks now - since October 2003 and have noticed an amazing difference in my face. I'm 39 now and have for years suffered from a double chin, jowls have appeared the past few years, have developed eye bags and generally have this tired look about me. Since using Facercise, the eye bags under my eyes have eased up and are easing up daily and hopefully should disappear soon, I notice that one eye is weaker than the other and with the help of Facercise's eye exercises am strengthening the eye that is weak and has more pronounced eye bags than the other eye which is stronger, my nasal labial lines ie age lines between nose and mouth have lessened and I look younger (wow!), my nose has become perkier and before I didn't even think I had an issue with my nose, but happy with it now as it looks cute, my frown lines on my forehead are easing up, my eyes are looking larger and most importantly after years of trying all sorts of exercises, my double chin is reducing and the turkey looking excess skin is tightening up and I'm so thrilled.
I had been using the Cleo Facial System for months regularly for an hour a day with not much notice at all in my facial tone or jowls, or double chin, and also tried lots of other exercises such as the Profile Toner for my neck/double chin and of all these, Facercise has shown an almost immediate effect! I also bought Eva Frasier's Facial Workout but I couldn't keep up with it as I personally found it boring and couldn't bring myself to watch it twice. Then I read on amazon, someone recommend Carole Maggio's Facercise and I am so grateful!!!!
I can't wait to see what I'll look like in weeks from now and compare my photos! I bought the video tape directly from Carole Maggio's website http://www.facercise.com which I highly recommend as it was difficult for me to figure out the exercises from the book. However I am reading the book which helps aid understand the exercises more.
Facercise is a series of exercises you can do in bed when you wake up for 10 mins (this is using Carole's tapes - which comes with her video) and again 10 minutes at night (11 minutes to be precise); and/or you can use the tape in the car on your way to work, and the exercises can bed done either sitting or lying down. It's like doing what it says, a facial workout for your face and it's really exciting and fun to do and I personally am never bored; unlike with Eva Fraser's video where I really was bored (sorry Eva). I love especially that the results are almost instantaneous!!! Awesome!

it works but...

Sad Face!
I found most of the facial exercises hard to understand and think that video images would be much easier to put into practice. In all, I am disappointed with the book.
