The recording of this assembly, dating back from 1985 and put out the same year, was reissued in 2009, and there's now a DVD available of the same. It brings together original rockabilly legend, now the late Carl Perkins, ably supported by a host of more recent great guitar exponents in the shape of Dave Edmunds, Eric Clapton, and perhaps the most talented of the Beatles,George Harrison. Vocals suitably provided by not just Carl, but all the others plus Roseanne Cash doing a Johnny and June number. Ringo is there too, joining in by attempting to both sing and play the drums, and in my opinion he can't do either. He's the only downside of this run through of all the standard material that Perkins started out with on Sun, but it all comes over as a great jam session, very reminiscent of 'Matchbox' in which Perkins also once did at a charity effort coupled with Duane Eddy and the Mavericks. If you grew up with this sound and still live with it, then this is an album you'll enjoy, even they get it a bit wrong sometimes.
