Recently I've had to give more and more care to my elderly mother. At first, other than the basics that came with common sense - housework etc - I had no idea where to start or how to improve her quality of life. This book has been invaluable. It has up to date information and advice and the sections are clearly headed and easy to read - vital as I don't have time to read huge chunks of text or a whole book start to finish. I can just dip in and out of the sections i need in this one. It also has plenty of case studies, helping me remember that I'm not the only one, and plenty of information on where to get help and support. It also covers caring for people who are disabled, mentally ill or who have sensory impairments. I would recommend this for any carer looking for some extra advice.
