5.0 out of 5 stars Better than Janet Evanovich 14 April 2011
By F Dyas
Format:Kindle Edition
I had read "My Perfect Wedding" by the same author, and loved it, so was expecting a good read. It was billed as being for fans of Janet Evanovich, but I felt this was selling it a bit short. Yes it was a funny and sexy crime novel, but I felt the plot was much better than a Stephanie Plum, especially the later ones, and not quite so slapstick, a cleverer humour (except maybe waiting for the dog to poop out the memory card!)
The story is as follows:
Amber Fox, an ex- cop and insurance investigator, is looking into a claim for a boxer who is injured in a match, which turns into an investigation into corrupt bankers, illegal betting, and much more besides. She also has two men in love with her (both gorgeous and hunky! Just like real life!!!) and is finding it difficult to choose. It leads her into a real tangled web,
This is a fantastically fun novel, and perfectly priced for a great summer (or early spring) read (i.e. a bit less than I can buy a paperback!!!). I'd certainly recommend it to anyone who loves Evanovich.

5.0 out of 5 stars Everything you want in a book. 14 April 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
This was the first Sibel Hodge book I've read and I have to say I was thoroughly impressed with her writing style.

'Be careful what you wish for' has all the elements needed to make a good book a success.

The great one-liners from the main character Amber Fox had me laughing out loud.

There is plenty to keep you entertained throughout and a superb mix of humour, romance all wrapped around a great mystery.

I can't wait to get my hands on Sibel's other books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another adventure for Amber 10 April 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I enjoyed this book more than The Fashion Police, maybe because I was used to the characters by now. I wasn't sure I'd like it as much, as the blurb says it's about boxing and I really don't like boxing, but it made no difference, I loved this book.
I didn't want to put it down.

Now when's the next installment coming out?
