The audience for this book is anyone who is currently unhappy in their current job and considering getting into the pharmaceutical industry. If you are already working in "pharma," this book probably won't be of much use to you as you already know what CRAs, CROs, medical monitors, etc. do.
The pharmaceutical industry employs physicians, nurses, pharmacists, writers, scientists, managers, statisticians, data managers, sales people, lawyers, economists and many other types of professionals. This book is mostly composed of chapters describing the different positions available. As someone who has worked many years in pharma, I can say that the information in this book is very good, but you will need to pursue other sources to get more details if you are interested in a particular career. There are also some chapters on how to land the job and develop your career further, but these topics are fairly general and covered better in other books.
Because this is an expensive book, I would suggest checking this out from the library if you can.
