The ‘guru’ of portable careers Jo Parfitt, has updated and expanded her earlier career book and expatriate spouses everywhere will be extremely grateful for her effort. It’s chock-a-block full of information, ideas, strategies and solutions to common challenges faced by accompanying spouses who wish to find or pursue their passions abroad. The author’s own passion is networking and it’s a theme that runs throughout the book. "Networking is not about handing out business cards, it is rather about building relationships and making friends," writes Parfitt to introduce the separate chapter devoted to the subject. Her own networking abilities are boundless and have allowed her to bring other voices into the book. She leaves no professional stone or possibility for opportunity left unturned.
