Excellent guide 24 Nov 2011
By Yorkie
Format:Paperback
Career Coach is an excellent guide for anyone considering their next career move. It's often tempting to think such manuals will only contain common sense or tips you could garner from various sites on the Internet, but, if you are of that mindset, Career Coach will surprise you. It takes you through the necessary thought process as well as the practical steps in a systematic way. In today's extremely competitive job market, why wouldn't you take advantage of Corinne Mills's years of experience and carefully thought-out advice? Career Coach is an exceptional return on investment.

This book doesn't just look at your job but your whole work-life balance covering your family, finances, health too. It helps you think about what you want to get out of your job on a day-to-day basis such as actually leaving work on time and saying no to demanding people. There is some great charts and checklists, in particular the age timeline which helps you see your career as a whole, where you've been and what you want to do in the future. I was able to recognise when I was most happy in my career and why. Highly recommended.
