The second Cardcaptor Sakura Omnibus includes volumes 4, 5 and 6.
There are going to be 4 omnibuses in total.
It contains 30 colour pages too!
Sakura Kinomoto is a normal energetic 10 year old, that is until one day she discovers a book. When she opens the book she accidentally releases a set of magical cards called Clow Cards. Each card has a special power and takes the form of a creature when it isn't sealed. Also out of the book emerges the guardian beast of the seal, Cerberus aka Kero. Kero tells Sakura that she has to retrieve the missing cards or else disaster will befall this world. Thus Sakura becomes a cardcaptor! She battles each card separately and seals it after it has been defeated (whilst being filmed by her best friend and second cousin Tomoyo Daidouji).
But there is another person trying to capture the cards, Syaoran Li from Hong Kong. He is a descendant of the creator of the cards, Clow Reed, and classmate of Sakura.
Sakura and Syaoran both share the same crush, Yukito Tsukishiro. He is also the best friend of Sakura's bother, Toya Kinomoto.
At the beginning of the second omnibus, we learn the relationship between Toya and Sakura's teacher, Kaho Mizuki. Syaoran feels some kind of power from this new teacher.
And at last, we find out more about Yue! Yue is the cards' second guardian.
Also we get to see Cerberus' true form!
Will Sakura be able to collect all the cards in time before there is a disaster?
Cardcaptor Sakura is one of my favourite manga. It was also the reason why I fell in love with CLAMP and all of their work. The art is incredibly beautiful especially the character designs. Sakura is my all time favourite female character, she always tries her best. Toya is an amazing brother. I have an older brother myself and he nothing like that! I think Toya is everyone's dream big brother. All of the characters, especially the female characters are very cute.
The 30 colour pages are brillant! The colours are so vibrant. Dark Horse have done an amazing job! They pages are a perfect white and the thickness is just right! The text is easy to read and I like how they didn't ruin the art by translating all the sound effects, instead they just put a translation under them.
If you are new to Cardcaptor Sakura, I would recommend reading the first omnibus before this one, obviously. But you won't regret buying them.
