Opened this plain white jiffy bag after long wait.
Immediately knew I BOUGHT A BUMMER.
No instructions, no invoice. Just a USB device Of rather flimpsy apperance in a small self sealing clear bag, plus a MINI -- YES A MINI DISC (who uses those things these days )Eventually got the MINI DISC to run, opened up to a file full of sub folders, no autorun function, though there is a file labelled autorun buried deep with the sub folders pmsl Plugged in the usb device, thought i try my luck with windows trying to recognise it... HEHEHEHEH WOW watch out for flying pork....
Eventually transferred all files from mini disc to pc. tried various ways to install anything at all lol, finally did manage to install some prog called sim max, looked handy BUUUTTTT no chance.
Only sees an RS232 port (who in gods name uses RS232 these days, especially for a usb device as sold???? ) no usb port option no way to select or change, says there is a convertor in there somewhere, but dont work, least i couldnt find it.
BOTTOM line USUAL FAR EASTERN RUBBISH dont waste your money and certainly dont waste an afternoon as i have just done. Most of this junk was taken off sale years ago...
SUGGEST AMAZON DO THE SAME.
Could be a useful device if the suppliers sorted the software out.
NOT EVEN BOTHERED TO RETURN IT, CANT BE BOTHERED WITH ALL THE RETURNS PROCEDURE.

I have installed this device and yet for some reason I can not get it to work despite trying various different drivers and softwares. The device feels cheap and poorly made. Now I know that you get what you pay for but even if I paid next to nothing I would still expect the thing to do what it claims to.

Sadly neither the original or its replacement worked. That said, the company went above and beyond to rectify this but I still want a USB Sim card reader that works.

Absolute Rubbish
I should have realised that at £4, including postage, it wasn't going to be up to much. Plastic case was cracked, software says it is connected but refuses to read any SIM card. Read more
