One thing to remember is that the author is from Canada, so the book has measurements written in metric. Also the names of some of the vegetables are different. The book has a solid base of instruction, easy to follow and pretty straight forward. She seems to write a balanced safe plan. This is important as many "get fit, get thin" diets out there are potentially dangerous as they either have too few calories or are not balanced, i.e. not enough fruit, veggies, positive carbohydrates or even protein. Weight loss is done in a smart, slow but steady planning and discipline. This book is quality read.
