Book Description

** Revised for 2015! More values and information! **

When you're out and about, and you lose internet access, do you wish you could still know the carb value in the food you're thinking about ordering? This 98 page carb chart book keeps you on a healthy path.

It's important to eat foods that are low in sugar and starch. We all know that. But how do we know which foods are better than others? This handy carb chart provides the solution, no matter what style of diet you are on.

No more guessing at what a food will 'cost you' while out at a supermarket or at a restaurant. This useful book provides all the details you need to create a more healthy you! From fruits and vegetables to nuts and berries, many items in a store don't provide you the data you need. With this book you will have the data you need at your fingertips. There is also complete coverage of popular low carb beers, liqueurs, whiskeys, and more.

In addition to the base information, all of my low carb books provide appendices which explain how to successfully manage a low carb diet.

Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions! I frequently update all my low carb books based on your recommendations.

1.0 out of 5 stars Carb charts low carb reference 6 Feb. 2013

General info quite good. Lists of foods very limited. Don't like portions given in half cups would rather have it in grams or ounces. Also very Americanized. Would love to find a comprehensive, British based reference book. Even at this low price this book is not worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars The LC Cook's Friend 18 Dec. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is terrific- I am mostly paleo/ LCHF/cook from scratch and so appreciate a carb chart that lists actual foodstuffs rather than commercial products, which I would not usually eat. Although I was most frustrated trying to find 'olive' (which I consider food). I finally tracked it down in the drink section!

It works very well on my kindle. Its quite easy to just go the the table of contents and look under fish or vegetable or whatever else you need. Since the food lists are so short, its easy to find what you want, once all the Frankenfoods are left out..

Well done, book! I use it a lot. I would have done it differently, listing everything in lower carb order to higher, but I'm sure this would have confused many, as we are used to alphabetical order.

If lisa shea is interested, a short kindle chart on protein of various sorts, listing the amount of fat per 100 grams would be welcome. If you try to eat in a LCHF way, its actually not so easy to plan in as much saturated fat as you want. Many people are needlessly still fat-phobic, so I seem to spend my cooking life substituting, for example, chicken thigh for chicken breast if looking at someone else's recipe. I have my own hand written list, but perhaps other people would find such a chart of use.
