I've used electric debobblers for years, recently when trying to debobble a blanket my electric one kept jamming, running out of power and generally doing a poor job (as is my normal experience of them, just this was the largest item i've ever debobbled).
So I went into my knitting kit and pulled out my comb. Works wonders. Much quicker and more effective than an electric one. It has given me a brilliant result.
I'll be sticking to manaual debobbling from now on. Yes it's more effort, but it's less frustrating and gives a better finish.
Took me a little over 2 hours to complete double blanket. Takes 1-5 mins to do a quick debobble of a jumper.

Small, and very cheap, but it does actually works, great for the areas that need attention. For me it was exactly what I wanted, I feel in control when using it

Great for difficult and natural fibres or weaves
An electric debobbler is all well and good for simple fine jersey knits, but no good for textured knits or mohair blends etc. This is the good old fashioned way of doing things. Read more

Waste of time and money!
I recently bought one of these and not only was it hard work and messy but my clothes didn't look any better after an hour! Steer clear and don't waste your money!

LIfe's too short
Works, sort of. V time consuming and nothing like as good as an electric one. Good if you have a lot of spare time on your hands.
