3.0 out of 5 stars Music for the folk loving PetrolHead. 16 Jan 2013

Another collection of automotive themed songs from Car Talk. Not as good as some I've heard on their 'Lousy Radio Show', but not bad overall. Listen out for Click & Clack on track 2, 'Me and My Automobile'. A ten page booklet accompanies the CD detailing info on each track.

Tracks on the CD:

1. We Talk About Cars - Ric Seaberg
2. Me and My Automobile - Jack Williams
3. If She Wasn't On Blocks - The New Duncan
4. Light Blue Saturn - Ben Frey
5. 1000 Dollar Car - The Bottle Rockets
6. Who Taught These Idiots to Drive? - Arnold & Gretz
7. S.U.V. - Mem Shannon
8. Auto Mechanically Declined - Joe Jencks
9. Ranchero - Adam Kay
10. Unfit to Drive - The Auto Body Experience
11. Oh, Great Car - The Toddlers
12. You Dance Like You Drive - Armor & Sturtevant
13. Please Old Car - Tombstone Trailerpark
14. Muscle Car Blues - Carp 18
15. Everybody Knows My Car - Dean Cottrill
16. Built to Crash - Gravel Train
17. Faded Red Car - Deborah Holland
18. Click 'n' Clack - Eric Moore
19. (Take a Beetle) To the Badlands - The Slip

4.0 out of 5 stars Yet More of the Boys... 2 Feb 2007
By John P Bernat - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
These guys just don't know when to shut up.

But, if you love cars, you'll like this collection.

This set is quite distinguished. Here, we actually see their musical knowledge much in evidence, perhaps even more so than their sense of humor.

I enjoyed this one more for the music itself than for the jokes. If you like the jokes more, there are other CDs in their series you'd like better.

Keep it up, guys!

1.0 out of 5 stars Not what I thought 19 Dec 2011

I love the show, I hate the CD. I expected to hear some of the clever songs that I heard on the radio show. Instead, I heard some random, not-very-clever songs that I never heard of. Save your money. Not worth it even if its free.

3.0 out of 5 stars Car Talk Tunes 25 May 2007
By Alfred Henneberger Jr. - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
We LOVE Car Talk and were hoping for a terrific CD. However, only a few of the songs were worth listening to. Other people may find the songs great, but they weren't for us. We listen to them in the car where we can punch in the numbers of the tunes we like.

I love being able to play, in their entirety, the great songs that they use on the show anytime I want.
3.0 out of 5 stars The first Car Tunes is a touch act to follow 17 Jun 2013

This second volume of Car Tunes is just not nearly as good as the first one. The first is outstanding from the first tine to the last!!
