very disappointing 21 May 2012

This game is extremely disappointing, the character is annoying to move around , the items you have to pick up are not visible , so unless you know you have to pick something up (ie by following a walk through) you wouldn't see it to pick it up . I also had difficulty with the drop down menu which is very frustrating . I have given up playing this game it was far to annoying and wound me up , so for the above reasons I wouldn't recommend this game .

After enjoying So Blonde: Back To The Island on the DS, I had high hopes for Captain Morgane. I'm only into Chapter 2 but so far, I'm disappointed. Despite its 12+ age rating, it has a definite childish feel. And though the backgrounds are beautiful, the moving characters are poorly done. The menu system has been tweaked since the last game and not for the better. Often, I can't get it to drop down from the top of the screen.

While I was waiting for the game to be released, I read with interest that the English voice acting had been scrapped after being badly received by the critics and was being redone. What no website I came across mentioned was that there is no voice acting at all in the DS version of the game. If I'd realised this, I'd have gone for the PC version instead, which is cheaper at the moment anyway. Feel a bit like I've been cheated there!

Maybe this game will grow on me as I get further in but I'm not convinced...

Very good game 23 May 2012

I am playing the game and I am on chapter 6. The game play was a little different at first (need to click fast on the items you want to interact with) and I recommend pushing the start button when you start the game (this enables the hints, little flashing lights that tell you what you can interact with). So far the game has been quite enjoyable and I would buy a game similar to this one. I would recommend this game to play.
