Schumpeter is avery clever economist. He is one of the few who understood the difference between entrepreneurs and business leaders (See Daniel Isenberg). But he was notoriously self-loving. It must have been his vanity, his wish to be adored and famous, that made him try to explain that the then admired socialism could have a real future. What interested me in this book was exactly the influence of vanity on the intellect.
Very negative is his English: Geman thoughts and the english language definitely do not make a good match
