Rarely does a series stick in the mind and wanted to be seen again. Hence my delight in obtaining this on DVD.
This DVD is a little grainy in places but this does not take away the sheer brilliance and enjoyment of this series. If anything, it is a reminder to those great days of the 1980s - days that were impressionable. This series just wants you to reclaim those days again and start afresh - I wish I knew then what I know now... Life is for the taking.
The series is based on a set of maverick characters based at Shane Longman Dealing Room in the City of London. With haunting music, not too disimilar to London's Burning, the series maps out the lives of these characters one-by-one with a combination of individual stories and sub-plots. Douglas Hodge seems to lead the bunch as Declan, but all have a story to tell.
I recommend this without hesitation and even at the price of beyond £20. It is worth it, believe me.
